Fuelling Futures: Igniting Young Minds on the Road to Success in the Transport and Logistics Sector

Over 400 students took part in a recent Transport and Logistics Event, funded by Department for Communities and hosted by Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council.  The school children from 16 local primary and post-primary schools had the opportunity to explore the sector’s diverse range of careers, current employment opportunities and the various pathways leading to employment within the sector.

Holocaust Remembrance Service held at Monkstown Jubilee Centre

As part of Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council’s commitment to remembering the Holocaust, a special evening of remembrance was held at Monkstown Jubilee Centre, on Sunday 21 January 2024. The Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Councillor Mark Cooper led tributes in remembering the six million Jews murdered during the Holocaust and those who lost their lives in more recent genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur.
