Youth Zone Returns to the Valley For Summer

Youth Zone is set to make a comeback at the Valley Leisure Centre this Saturday 18 July!

The five week action-packed programme is organised in conjunction with the Policing & Community Safety Partnership (PCSP) and provides a range of activities for young people aged 9-18 years.The Youth Zone provides a great space to hang out with friends and try out a range of different activities including indoor, 3G and bubble football, circus skills, hockey, climbing wall and much more.

Speaking at the launch, Deputy Mayor and member of the Antrim and Newtownabbey PCSP, Councillor John Blair, commented, “We’re delighted to offer a programme of sport and other activities on Saturday nights for young people, which provides an outlet for 9 to 18 year olds to have fun and enjoy their own space.”

Summer Youth Zone will run for five consecutive weeks from Saturday 18 July to Saturday 15 August, 7pm to 10.30pm. A courtesy bus will be available at 10.30pm for designated drop off points within Newtownabbey.

Youth Zone entry fee is only 50p per night and registration is essential. Forms can be downloaded online at www.antrimandnewtownabbey.gov.uk/YouthZone  and then brought along on the first night.
