Queen of Comedy Comes to Antrim
29 April 2015
Fresh from rave reviews at The Edinburgh Fringe, Nuala McKeever brings her 5 Star black comedy, In The Window, to the Old Courthouse on Friday 15 May at 7.30pm, for her first visit to the theatre.
In The Window is a hilarious and poignant one-woman show, telling the story of Margaret and the events of one very special night in her life. Life hasn’t turned out the way Margaret dreamed. She’s lonely, in a house that won’t sell, with no kids, no husband and a job that’s deathly boring.
So tonight, she’s got a date with a bottle of pink fizz and a bowl of pink pills and she’s going to go out in style. But her romance with death is rudely interrupted by an intruder, a nosy neighbour and a policeman – a tall, handsome policeman.
“Poignancy and razor sharp one-liners enliven the darkest of comedies” Belfast Telegraph
“Beautifully crafted... totally captivating. By all means, climb in the window. Or walk in through the door and up the aisle. Even drill your way through the floorboards if you have to. However you get there, you must see this show.” Broadway Baby
Nuala says, “I’m so thrilled to be bringing In The Window to Antrim! The play has gone down so well with audiences in Edinburgh and the United States, I’m confident its universal appeal will make it a hit! Everyone wants to belong and be needed. Margaret will touch your heartstrings even as she makes you laugh out loud!”
