The Mayor, Councillor Thomas Hogg and Mark Dougan (The Prince’s Trust) launch the Development Awards for young people in the Borough.
The Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Councillor Thomas Hogg, recently launched the Prince’s Trust Development Awards. The awards will provide support for young people aged between 16 and 25 who are not in education, training or employment and live in the Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council area.
There are forty Development Awards being funded by the Council, each worth a maximum of £200, available to assist disadvantaged young people in helping them to achieve a positive outcome by supporting them into education, training or employment.
The financial support will assist young people with various items including funding for courses, equipment needed in order to gain qualifications, travel costs, and short term childcare.
