Murder and Mystery in Merville!
29 September 2015
Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Councillor Thomas Hogg with cast members.
Super Sleuths at the ready. There’s going to be a murder in Merville and your help is needed to solve it on 6 November starting at 6.30 pm at Merville House!
Picture the scene. The year is 1958. The Northern Ireland football team has made it to the World Cup semi-finals. Rock Around the Clock had heralded the era of the ‘teenager’ with teddy boys dominating the high street, and swingers, gangs, Bryl cream, net petticoats and rebels without a cause all making the headlines! But for all the optimism and excitement, there are still tragedies which make the news. There has been a Rockstar murder. Musician Frankie Petrillo has been found dead and the exact cause of death is as yet unknown. This is where your help is needed.
Councillor Paul Hamill, Chair of the Rathcoole Neighbourhood Renewal Partnership (RNRP) comments, “We would like to invite members of the local community to come along and participate in a fun filled event which will see local acting skills unfold alongside a range of professional actors. This evening will be organised by volunteers and we would like to see as many residents as possible coming together for a night of fun.”
The evening start at 6.30pm with a welcome drink and an opportunity to meet with the costumed actors from the Irregular Special Players. You will then be invited to take your seats for a three course dinner which will be served at your table, whilst the story unfolds in front of you. The evening will finish at approximately 11pm, although this may vary.
All seats can be booked in advance at £10.00 per person. The price includes welcome drink, a three course meal followed by tea or coffee and murder mystery entertainment. Tickets go on sale from a box office at the Dunanney Centre every Monday from 5 October between 4pm -8pm. Cash only.
