Come along to Steeple Play Park on Wednesday 22 July from 10am to12 noon and learn about all things butterfly!

Ruth Wilson, Biodiversity Officer with Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council says, “If you don’t know your Small Tortoise Shell from your Speckled Wood, then come along and find out more. Catherine Bertrand from Butterfly Conservation will be on hand to give an insight into the fascinating world of butterflies and moths. We will carry out a count for the BIG Butterfly Count which will involve walking round Steeple Play Park grassland areas to see how many butterflies can be recorded and perhaps set a new local record!”

Children must be accompanied by an adult. Places are limited, so book early. You will need appropriate outdoor clothing for this event. For further information contact Ruth Wilson, T: 028 9446 3113 ext 31371 or email [email protected].
