Lucy & Sarah Donnelly (Randalstown) get ready for the Halloween Festivities.

Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council is inviting all ghosts and ghouls, villains and vampires, witches and wizards to join in the freaky fun this Halloween which is free to all!

The spine-tingling scarefest begins with our annual Halloween Spooktacular at Junction One on Thursday 29 October!  The spooky goings on kick off at 6pm to the sound of the Cool FM radio roadshow, where Pete Snodden and the Cool crew will keep the crowds entertained.

Dust off your favourite frightening fancy dress and join us at 7pm to see who will be crowned the winner of the best, or should it be, the most horrifying costume with some fangtastic prizes up for grabs! Highlights of the night will be a hair-raising villain show by Mr Hullabaloo from 7.30pm followed by a Flame Extravaganza performance by Luminosity at 7.45pm. Dare you enter the Halloween Grotto? You’ll be sure to scream like a banshee when you see what lies in wait for you! Have a shriek of a time on the ghost train before the party comes to a close at 8pm with a spectacular fireworks display that is sure to light up the night sky with a bang!

This event is jointly organised by Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council and Junction One International Outlet Shopping. Limited disabled parking will be available at Junction One for blue badge holders only. Overflow parking available at Dunsilly Park & Ride and Antrim Town Centre. A free shuttle bus will depart from Market Square & Dunsilly Park & Ride at regular intervals and after the fireworks.  Access to the event is by Ballymena Road Entrance only.

Halloween will be casting a spell over Spooked Out at V36 on Saturday 31 October. This spectacular will be the first major event at V36 at the Valley Leisure Centre since the official opening in September. The festivities will kick off at 6pm with the Cool FM Roadshow, followed by lots of family fun and frolics! All the fun of the fair is there for all ages including our ghoulish ghost train – all aboard if you dare!

Be sure to wear your best fancy dress costume as the Deputy Mayor will be on hand to judge the winners from a number of categories, with prizes galore on offer. The evening will come to a close at 8pm when the Cave Hill will be a spectacular backdrop for a fireworks extravaganza.

Car parking at V36 is only available to blue badge holders, however the Valley Leisure Centre and other nearby car parks are only a short walk away. Public transport is also available within the local area or why not jump on a broomstick?
