A Green Flag flying overhead is a sign to the public that the space boasts the highest possible standards, is beautifully maintained and has excellent facilities.

Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Councillor Thomas Hogg comments; “I was absolutely delighted to raise the Green Flags at these facilities in Ballyclare. Ballyclare Cemetry and Sixmilewater River Park are just two of ten sites within our Borough that have received this prestigious award. They are truly well deserved and testament to the hard work of the staff who put so much into enhancing and preserving our outdoor spaces and tourist attractions.”
Councillor Hogg continues; “Not only does this Green Flag recognise the high standard of management and maintenance at the site but it also provides the community with a great sense of pride in their town. I would like to thank the pupils from Ballyclare and Fairview Primary Schools for joining me to officially raise the flags and for their involvement in planting bulbs and making bird feeders for the sites.”
