Exploring The Belfast Hills
15 July 2015
Put your walking shoes on and join us for a guided walk through the spectacular surroundings of the Belfast Hills on Saturday 25 July.
Elaine Upton, Countryside & Physical Activity Development Manager with Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council explains, “This is a great opportunity to get out in the fresh air and enjoy the beautiful countryside. The National Trust Warden for Divis Mountain will guide you along the new 4.2mile Ridge Trail, giving you the opportunity to enjoy the breath-taking views across Belfast City and beyond.”
Elaine continues, “Meeting at Antrim Castle Gardens car park at 9.45am, we will travel by bus to the starting point at the Divis Mountain Car Park, Hannahstown. This year, thanks to funding from the Belfast Hills Partnership Charity, there will be an additional pick up at the Academy Sports Club in Mallusk at 10.15am. Bring along a pack lunched as we will have a scheduled stop on Black Mountain where everyone can savour the beautiful views of Belfast Lough and beyond. This is always a popular event and numbers are limited, so be sure to book your place now.”
For further details or to book your place, contact Elaine Upton Tel 028 9446 3113. There is a small charge of £4 with a concession rate of £3 for this event.
