Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council is providing assistance through the Employment Initiatives Programme to help people who are currently not participating in education, employment or training. The Council will provide 10 week placements throughout the year hosting a total of 30 people as part of their role within the programme.

 

They will be placed in various roles throughout the Council, including Grounds Maintenance Operatives, Street Labourers, Playzone Assistants and Clerical Assistants.

 

Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Councillor Thomas Hogg commented, “We are delighted to be taking part in this fantastic initiative. The programme will provide valuable experience which will increase their employability in the future.”
