Donate a Gift to the Christmas Family Appeal
09 December 2015
Mossley Mill and Antrim Civic Centre are acting as collection points for the Christmas Family Appeal which is organised by the Salvation Army and St Vincent De Paul charities.
Last year's appeal distributed over 30,000 gifts to children across Northern Ireland – all of which was made possible by the generosity of local people and organisations.
Urging support for the Christmas Family Appeal, the Mayor of Newtownabbey, Councillor Thomas Hogg commented:
“As we are all now beginning to get busy preparing for Christmas, I would like to remind people to bear in mind those less fortunate than ourselves. I would encourage everyone to support the appeal and help make a difference this Christmas to those families in need.”
All gifts must be new and unwrapped and suitable for children and young people - from tiny tots to teenagers. Family gifts of board games and tins of sweets or biscuits are always welcome. Teenagers can often appreciate gift tokens, CDs and toiletries.
The collection point at both Mossley Mill and Antrim Civic Centre will close on Thursday 17 December.
