Busy Weekend Anticipated as Garden Show Ireland Returns to Antrim
05 May 2015
The clock is counting down to the return of Northern Ireland’s premier gardening event to the unique historical setting of Antrim Castle Gardens from Friday 8 until Sunday 10 May 2015. The organisers in liaison with Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council have put a number of measures in place to alleviate traffic congestion and provide ease of access for visitors. Gates to the event will open at 10am and close at 6pm daily.
Car parking in the Gardens is limited to exhibitors and disabled blue badge holders only. All other visitor traffic attending the show can avail of free car parking at the Central Car Park beside the Castle Mall Shopping Centre and at Castle Street, entering past Antrim PSNI Station. Visitors on foot can then enter the gardens at various points along the Dublin Road and then proceed to the main entrance close to Clotworthy House.
Alternatively, visitors can follow the signs for the free shuttle bus service that will operate daily to and from Junction One International Outlet Shopping Centre or the nearby Enkalon Industrial Estate.
Some restrictions will apply to pedestrians within Antrim Castle Gardens over the duration of the Garden Show. The Deerpark Bridge will be closed from Friday morning through until Sunday evening. Signs will be installed within the gardens to advise pedestrians on appropriate routes. Clotworthy House will remain open during normal hours with free admission.
