Antrim and Newtownabbey Cooks Up Some Festive Fun!

Come along and join Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council in the festive fun at the Cookery Demo and Fair in Castle Mall on Friday 4 December from 10am – 4pm.

If you are looking for something different to give as presents this Christmas then this is the perfect opportunity! You can sample the delicious Fairtrade Cooking from the demos which will begin on the hour every hour over lunchtime and stock up on some unique gifts for your loved ones.

This live cookery demonstration and fair will provide you with inspiration on the tasty treats that can be prepared using Fairtrade ingredients, many of which will also be available to buy for you to try at home. Stalls will be selling a range of products and local crafts, perfect for Christmas presents!

Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Councillor Thomas Hogg commented, “The market offers visitors the opportunity to purchase some well-priced, unique and ethical Christmas gifts and stocking fillers for family and friends. The cookery demonstration is designed to encourage everyone to continue supporting Fairtrade and help farmers and workers, both locally and across the globe to obtain a fair return for their produce.”
