Peace IV now recruiting for Social Partner

Do you have a keen interest in supporting peace and reconciliation within the Borough? Would you like to be part of a team that oversees delivery of programmes designed to create a more cohesive society? Then this position could be for you.

Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council wishes to recruit a Social Partner to sit on the PEACE IV Partnership. The PEACE IV Local Action Plan is supported by the EU’s PEACE IV Programme, which is managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).

Applications for this voluntary position are now invited from nominees living or working within the Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council area. Social Partners must demonstrate an understanding of peace and reconciliation issues facing the Borough and possess relevant skills and experience gained through professional and/or community and voluntary undertakings. Applications are particularly welcome from the following sectors: Church/Faith-Based, Sport, Community/Voluntary, Arts/Culture, Ethnic Minorities and Education, Youth Services and Research/Academia.

The Peace IV Programme provides support to projects that contribute towards the promotion of greater levels of peace and reconciliation. The Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council Peace IV Partnership is comprised of Elected Representatives and Social Partners, along with Statutory Representatives who provide additional advice and expertise.
