Older People's Art Programme
25 September 2018
‘Love Living Here through The Arts’, a new Arts Challenge Fund was launched earlier this year. Arts Council of Northern Ireland (ACNI) and the Council jointly funded this exciting new project, allowing us to deliver a number of arts programmes to support the Council’s new Community Plan ‘Love Living Here’
The Arts Challenge Fund has five strands, which include an Older Peoples Art Programme, which runs from Sept 18 – April 19. This programme is designed for residents of our Borough aged 60 years+ to learn a new creative arts skill, whilst meeting new friends.
These free weekly classes are running in a number of facilities across our Borough, which include Monkstown Jubilee Centre, Stiles Community Centre, Ballyduff Community Centre, St Judes Church Hall, Lilian Bland Pavilion, Mossley Pavilion, Greystone Community Centre, Tidal Toome and Crumlin Leisure Centre.
These classes include Art, Music, Crafts and Creative Reminiscence offering older people a great opportunity to engage with the arts, learn new skills and meet new friends.
If you would like to be part of this new project or know someone who would benefit from these weekly classes, please contact Leeann Murray T: 028 9034 0228 or E: l[email protected].
