OPTIMAL help for your business
11 May 2018
Would you like up to five days free mentoring support for your business? If you answered yes, then the OPTIMAL (Outstanding Performance Through Individual Mentoring and Leadership) programme is perfect for you and your business.
OPTIMAL is a new mentoring programme facilitated by Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council, with the aim of improving the competitiveness of existing SME’s in the Borough. The project will support 200 businesses with the target of creating 165 new jobs and is part funded by Invest Northern Ireland and the European Regional Development Fund under the Investment for Growth & Jobs Northern Ireland (2014-2020) Programme.
OPTIMAL will provide tailored and specialist business support to help develop and grow businesses and will be delivered by Deirdre Fitzpatrick & Associates in partnership with Mallusk Enterprise Park.
At the launch the Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Councillor Paul Hamill commented: “I would encourage all small businesses to enquire about this programme as the free mentoring will help to prepare growth strategies that can drive new investment, increase sales turnover and create employment.”
“Supporting local businesses to become more competitive and creating opportunities for them to create new jobs are key priorities identified in the Council’s new Community Plan. The Council’s OPTIMAL programme has been designed to give local business owners the assistance they need to take them to the next level.”
Moira Loughran, Invest NI’s North Eastern Regional Manager said: “The OPTIMAL programme represents an exciting opportunity for businesses in the Antrim and Newtownabbey area to gain the valuable tools that they need to strengthen their competitiveness and take advantage of new business opportunities. Helping local businesses to grow is at the heart of what we do at Invest NI and we are delighted to be a part of what promises to be a very worthwhile programme.”
