A celebration event was recently held in Randalstown to mark the completion of the Town Team’s hard work over the past two years, to regenerate the town centre.
Some of the key projects include interpretation panels explaining the history and heritage of the town. These twelve panels have recently been installed and bring the history of Randalstown to life.
You may have also noticed two new arches at the entrance points of the viaduct on Station Road and New Street. These arches help inform residents and visitors how to access the viaduct and take in the wonderful views of the town.
Another exciting new addition to the town is the Mill Machinery, donated by Lord O’Neill of Shane’s Castle. The machinery has been restored and is now sited at Station Road for everyone to enjoy.
Other key projects delivered by the team over the last two years include virtual graphics at McFadden’s and Wallace’s Corner, the annual Christmas Market and a new Facebook page to help promote and market the town centre.
The Town team are now working on projects for the year ahead so keep your eyes peeled for the developments. For more information, T. 028 9446 3113 ext. 31344
