The Ulster Pipe Band Championships return to Antrim Castle Gardens

The Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Councillor Paul Hamill officially launched the Ulster Pipe Band Championships, which will take place at Antrim Castle Gardens on Saturday 22 July.

 

The biggest event in the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association NI Branch calendar, the Ulster Pipe Band Championship is a great day out for all the family. Pipe Bands from across Ireland will compete for the championships between 11.30am – 5.30pm. The high quality music and magnificent attire of the bandsmen is a colourful spectacle to behold.

 

The Mayor commented “Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council is delighted to host the prestigious Ulster Pipe Band Championships in Antrim Castle Gardens again this year. I would like to wish the organisers every success for this year’s event as well as to the many bands competing.”

Accessible car parking is available at Antrim Castle Gardens. A free shuttle bus will be running from The Junction car park and free car parking is also available at Central car park at Castle Mall.
