Making your business grow in the right way

18 September 2017

The Mayor, Councillor Paul Hamill, launches the Sales Growth Programme with Nuala Foley.

Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council has just launched its Sales Growth Programme. The programme is designed to help local businesses develop their sales pipeline and grow their business, through the improvement of their skills and knowledge.

The goal of most businesses is to grow their sales offering in a way that enables them to make a profit. The challenge however often revolves around knowing where to start, what to do and how to clinch that deal! This programme will provide the support and guidance to businesses on how to do this and will involve development workshops, one to one tailored mentoring and real sales meetings giving the opportunity to put it all into practice. The support will be delivered from a team of highly experienced consultants who themselves are business owners and therefore understand the need for a clear sales pipeline, sales plan and motivation.

The programme will target businesses from across the Borough and will work towards strengthening the economic development output in the area.  The Mayor, Councillor Paul Hamill commented: “The Council is committed to supporting our local business community and we are keen to provide practical support to ensure they grow and develop.  We want to make sure they have a clear sales vision for their businesses and a focused action plan to help them achieve this growth.”

He continued: “we are offering practical help which will be tailored to individual business needs and all delivered by experts.  At the end of the programme our businesses will have more confidence to seek out and create new business opportunities either locally or further afield. The programme will leave them feeling more knowledgeable in how to do this.”

Nuala Foley of Nuala Foley & Associates Ltd, who are delivering the programme commented: “this initiative is all about making local businesses the best they can be. We are excited to be delivering this programme on behalf of Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council and know that with the right support and new ways of thinking, sales can be achieved. Places are limited and we want to attract businesses that are committed to growing their business.”

Applications are now open and a form can be downloaded from www.antrimandnewtownabbey.gov.uk/salesgrowth
