Borough Life Doorsteps this Week!

07 August 2017

The August issue of Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council’s residents’ magazine ‘Borough Life’ is due to hit doorsteps next week. The magazine helps keep our residents up to date with life in our Borough as well as the fantastic events and programmes that are coming soon.

Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Councillor Paul Hamill commented, “As the summer holidays come to a close, it’s time to start thinking about getting back into a routine. This issue has lots of events and programmes that are coming to our Borough over the next couple of months as well as classes and activities to keep the kids entertained after school. We are also currently working on our new leisure strategy which has the overall aim of getting more people, more active, more often.  With six fantastic leisure facilities available, there really is something for everyone, so whether it’s the gym, a swim or a class, we have something to get you back into the swing of things. There is also plenty of good news stories in this issue including our success at the All Ireland Best Kept Awards, which saw Randalstown reach the finals and Antrim Town receive the award for Best Urban Centre. This issue also contains our arts and culture supplement ‘Create’ which features all of our workshops from August until December, which has something for all ages.”

The magazine will be delivered to households and businesses across the Borough. If you haven’t received a copy by Monday 21 August, or for further information on receiving the magazine in a different format, please contact the Council’s Communications and PR team on 028 9034 0027.
