Time is running out to boost your broadband connection!
02 March 2016
Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council is working with Avanti Communications to promote a subsidised pilot scheme being trialled locally across County Antrim, aimed at improving broadband speeds for rural areas, or in areas of poor connectivity.
The Rural Superfast Broadband Scheme is available to homes and businesses, as well as community and voluntary organisations, in County Antrim with slow or no broadband. Councillor Thomas Hogg, Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey said: “I am impressed with the uptake of the pilot broadband scheme so far. I would encourage all residents to take advantage of this programme before it expires.”
The scheme can offer a maximum of 1,000 subsidised satellite broadband installations and packages to households and businesses across the pilot area, but the deadline is fast approaching and you should act now. Registration on the scheme will end on 31 March 2016, so to experience the type of broadband connection that can be achieved, any interested parties should visit the trial Wi-Fi points in Crumlin and Sixmile Leisure Centres, as soon as possible.
