Simply Stroll through Antrim Town

14 April 2016

Do you struggle with your mobility and would like to do some gentle exercise? Or perhaps you are returning to exercise after an illness? Why not come along and take part in our Simply Strolling programme.

This series of gentle weekly walks, is led by trained walk leaders and is designed for those with mobility restrictions or those in rehabilitation.

Alan McCausland, Exercise Referral Leader with Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council comments; “Each week you will enjoy a gentle walk around some of Antrim’s scenic countryside. The walks, which will be led by trained leaders, will start from Antrim Forum and will last approximately 30-45 minutes. You will also have the opportunity to learn some Nordic Walking skills - a full body version of walking using specially adapted walking poles.”

The walks will take place every Wednesday, 9.30am from 20 April to 28 September. Each walk costs £1.50 and includes tea or coffee after the walk.
