27 May 2016
Are you looking for a fitness challenge? Then why not take part in the Antrim 5 mile multi-terrain race? Starting and finishing at Antrim Stadium, the race kicks off at 7.30pm on Friday 10 June.
An officially measured route, the event is ideal for both recreational and competitive runners and features Championchip digital timing. The route will take in a mixture of roadside paths, woodland routes and off road paths.
Elaine Upton, Countryside and Physical Activity Development Manager commented; “This 5 mile race is a great event for running enthusiasts of all abilities and will take in some of Antrim’s most scenic surroundings including the award winning Antrim Castle Gardens, Rea’s Wood and Lough Shore Park. The multi-terrain surfaces will be mainly tarmac paths with loose stone in parts around the Castle Gardens and some sand paths through sections of Rea’s Wood”.
Elaine continues; “As the course is officially measured and features digital timing, it’s a great way to set your pace for a longer 10k or half marathon. So come along, lace up those running shoes and put your best foot forward at the Antrim 5 mile Race!”
