Get ready for winter with the Council’s Oil Stamp Saving Scheme

28 November 2016

Buying home heating oil can be a costly purchase, especially around Christmas. The Council’s Oil Stamp Saving Scheme helps you budget for home heating oil by purchasing £5 oil stamps. The stamps are then placed on a savings card for you to use as payment or part payment for oil at any of the participating oil companies.

Wendy Brolly, Environmental Health Manager for Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council commented; “Buying heating oil in small quantities costs householders more per litre compared to larger quantities of oil. The scheme is a great way of budgeting and spreading the cost of oil throughout the year, as well as helping householders get a better price for purchasing more.”

This Christmas, we are offering you the chance of winning one of three prizes of £50 of oil stamps. To enter, simply email the words “Oil Stamp” to [email protected] by 5pm on Friday 16 December 2016. Entrants must live in the Borough.
