Game, Set, Match at Mossley Pavilion

29 July 2016

Did watching Wimbledon inspire you to pick up the tennis racquet? Perhaps the kids are looking to learn a new sport. The Parks Tennis programme is returning to Mossley Pavilion from Monday 8 – Friday 12 August and aims to teach the essentials of tennis to 8-14 years olds, with free family sessions also taking place in August.

Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Councillor John Scott commented; “Budding tennis players who’ve been inspired by the latest action at Wimbledon can try it out this summer.  This popular programme offers kids of all abilities the opportunity to try tennis as a healthy sport for life and learn new skills. Those who already play tennis will enjoy getting in some practice, improving their fitness and having fun. We encourage everyone to come along and join in with their family and friends this summer”.
The programme runs for five days and costs £20 per child.  A session for 8-11 year olds will run from 2-3pm, with 12-14 year olds attending from 3-4pm.  FREE family sessions will run every Wednesday in August from 7-8pm.
