Explore the Belfast Hills
23 June 2016
Put your walking shoes on and join us for a guided walk through the spectacular surroundings of the Belfast Hills on Saturday 2 July.
Elaine Upton, Countryside & Physical Activity Development Manager with Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council explains, “This is a great opportunity to get out in the fresh air and enjoy the beautiful countryside. The National Trust Warden for Divis Mountain will guide you along the recently constructed 4.2 mile Ridge Trail, giving you the opportunity to enjoy the breath-taking views across Belfast City and beyond”.
Elaine continues, “Buses will depart from both the Antrim Castle Gardens car park and the Academy Sports Club in Mallusk at 10am sharp, and will take you to the starting point at the Divis Mountain Car Park in Hannahstown. Bring along a pack lunched as we will have a scheduled stop on Black Mountain where everyone can savour the beautiful views of Belfast Lough and beyond. This is always a popular event and numbers are limited, so be sure to book your place now”.
