Crossfire Cheetahs are dodging into action

Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Councillor Thomas Hogg recently paid a visit to Crossfire Avengers Dodgeball Club in Newtownabbey to meet their new ladies team; Crossfire Cheetahs.

The Club, which was relaunched in September 2015, is going from strength to strength with three players representing Northern Ireland in the men’s section. The ladies team has only been established for a few months and is already looking promising for the future.

Councillor Hogg comments; “I was delighted to meet with the new ladies section of Crossfire Avengers and watch them in action. With the age group of ladies ranging from 16 to 36, the club is suitable for all abilities and is currently looking for new members. So why not come along and give it a go!”

The Club meets at Abbotts Cross Presbyterian Church with mixed training every Wednesday night from 7-9pm and ladies only meeting two Tuesday’s in the month from 7.30-9pm.  The club also run a kid’s team that meet through the youth club in Abbotts Cross but they are keen to develop a new youth section.
