Applaud The New Year

Spend more time with family and friends this New Year with a night out at the Theatre.  Our new season programme Applaud featuring our three performing arts venues across the Borough has something for everyone.  January doesn’t need to be blue; we have an amazing line up to keep you entertained.

Theatre at The Mill continues its worldwide screenings beginning on Thurs 7 January.   Kenneth Brannagh Theatre presents Shakespeare’s timeless tragicomedy The Winter’s Tale starring Judi Dench. The National Theatre London presents Jane Eyre on Sat 9 January and Les Liaisons Dangereuses on Fri 29 January.  Opera lovers are in for a treat with a double whammy, Les Pecheurs De Perles Sat 16 January and Turandot Sat 30 January, screened live from The Met.  We are also delighted to offer you the unique opportunity to discover inside the magnificent Uffizi Gallery in Florence including the breath-taking Adoration of The Magi by Leonardo Da Vinci which will be unveiled after 5 years of restoration during this live screening Florence and the Uffizi Gallery on Thurs 21 January.

The Old Courthouse Antrim welcomes back TV’s Million Dollar Mind Reader David Mead on Sat 16 Jan with his new show Fake Believe following his sell out tour last year.  American Country Singer –songwriter Kimmie Rhodes makes her debut on Thurs 21 January and Barb Jungr returns to the stage with songs from Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen on Fri 29 January.

The Courtyard Theatre continues the panto season as Dove Drama Group present Snow White from 14-16 January.  Weighing In hits the stage Fri 22 January starring Rose Henderson from Fair City and Isobel Mahon from Glenroe this hilarious and fast paced comedy is about life, love and dieting and how we all need to adjust the scales to find the right balance.
