We are committed to continually reviewing and improving our services to customers. To inform how do this we will regularly ask our customers and residents to tell us how we are doing and give us their thoughts on how we can improve the services we provide.

Corporate Improvement Plan 2018-19

This confirms our commitment to make a difference to services and outcomes for the people of our Borough. It has been aligned with the Community Plan and the Council’s Corporate Plan to ensure the Borough of Antrim and Newtownabbey is ‘A Prosperous Place, Inspired by our People; Driven by Ambition.’

We have set seven areas for improvement, balancing the need to improve services such as leisure and recycling with our determination to continue to improve the cleanliness of our Borough and achieve excellence in terms of customer satisfaction. We want to increase staff attendance, encourage entrepreneurship and streamline processes and systems to ensure that suppliers receive payments more promptly.   

In addition, the Plan includes a range of self-imposed indicators and standards to reflect all 16 Council services.  A self-assessment report will be published by 30 September 2019, setting out how we performed.
