Hairdresser Registration

If you operate as a hairdresser in Northern Ireland, you must be registered with your local authority and comply with local Health and Safety rules. If the business changes into new ownership, the new owner must also register with the Council.
To register your hairdressing business, please contact the Health and Safety section within Antrim Borough Council. A member of the team will guide you through the registration process and provide you with the relevant registration form.

Will Tacit Consent Apply?
Yes, Tacit Consent does apply. This means that you will be able to act as though your application is granted if you have not heard from Antrim Borough Council's Health and Safety section.
