Pollution Prevention and Control Permits (LAPPC)

The Pollution Prevention and Control (Industrial Emissions) Regulations (NI) 2013 came into effect on 20 June 2013 and place responsibilities upon operators of a variety of activities to control and monitor air pollution (and to a lesser extent water pollution).

Medium Combustion Plant

The medium combustion plant requirements are designed to control emissions of sulphur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen oxides (NOx) and dust into the air from plants with a net rated thermal input of between 1 and 50 megawatts (MW), contributing to better air quality and reducing the potential risks to human health and the environment.

Petroleum Licence

Under the Petroleum (Consolidation) Act (Northern Ireland) 1929, anyone with premises where petroleum is stored and dispensed by mechanical means for resale, e.g. petrol filling stations, or on private sites servicing company vehicles, must have a valid petroleum licence issued by the District Council.

Certificate of Fitness For a Property Built Before 1945

If the dwelling was built before 1945 you are required by law to have an inspection carried out on the property to determine its fitness for human habitation.
